Chakkakuru Upperi is a stir-fried jackfruit seed with coconut. Jackfruit seeds are rich in thiamin and riboflavin which help in turning the food you eat into energy and keep your eyes, skin, and hair healthy. Using Jackfruit seeds we can prepare as many various dishes.
Usually, I pressure cook the Jackfruit seeds and later temper them. Here I have cooked jackfruit seeds with turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt. Chakkakuru Upperi can also be cooked as a one-pot dish.
Jackfruit seeds are easy to clean and all we have to do is remove the flaky white skin. Here, I used chili powder for spiciness instead you can use green chili. Check out our other stir-fried recipes like Muringakka Urulakizhangu Upperi, Ladies Finger/Okra Egg Fry, etc.
